Evangelin Developments, L3C

The crushing losses in the Muskegon County, MI economy and real estate have left many families homeless or renting. Their credit decimated, they have no hope of returning to home ownership without unconventional assistance. Evangelin Developments, L3C works with local charities and foundations as the bridge in a public/private partnership. We buy homes, rehabilitate them and rent them to families until their credit improves. Foundations invest on a 1 year or 5 year term, possibly earning interest on PRI (Program Related Investments) until paid from the process of the home sale.

Evangelin Developments follows the progress of the tenant families until they are able to purchase the home using a “sinking fund” at ED and a conforming home loan through a local bank. By working with other local charities we provide a lifeline to food banks, financial counseling, child support and other vital social services.

Our mission - By providing encouragement and the tools for personal accountability to Muskegon County homebuyers, Evangelin Developments, L3C allows the realization of the greatest American opportunity: pride in homeownership. We promise accountability and transparency to our stakeholders, while continuing to develop partnerships between investors and the people of our community.
