PRAISE FOR MARC LANE

Marc J. Lane

It's an absolute honor and pleasure to recommend our friend and colleague Marc Lane. Our paths first crossed at the social enterpreneurial trail head as we were organizing and launching the 39th L3C in the US and the first L3C operating in Colorado back in February of 2009. Marc reached out to us...eager to learn what we were up to and how he might be able to help. A surprising and most generous offer from a complete stranger. But I sensed from the first three minutes of our call - that was a precursor of things to come and boy did I hit it square on the head.

Marc is a highly trusted, knowledgeable, accessible and respected colleague and adviser. We refer to him as a friend when we talk about him with others because while the distance between us precludes a pure social friendship - I feel like we could call on him for just about anything. Just as we would a good friend.

There's no one I'd rather talk to about any legal situation or problem but he's capable of offering an endless supply of invaluable and time tested business insights on virtually any  topic - especially as it relates to social enterprise and social innovation.

The social enterprise express has left the station and from all I can see, Marc Lane is the conductor. And if he's not, he should be. We're very happy he came into our world and you know what's truly amazing? It's really invigorating to think he's having the very same effect on others. I can't imagine it being any other way.
